Why men work in clusters

The Urban Panther's post on Men work in clusters sure generated a few ridiculous theories on male behavior. Although quite humorous, they are very far from the truth.

First of all, when we undertake serious MW (men's work), our primal instincts once again take the reins. When difficulties arise, our bodies start emitting a very specific hormone that only other males can smell. I call it the Help Me I'm F#cked hormone. This will cause all males within a 300 yard radius to gather around and offer their help and support. The major advantage here is that if a solution to the problem cannot be found, at least you can have someone else to blame it on. "Honey... we need a new <insert the toy you deserve most here>! Roger broke the old one when he was helping me fix it." Best of all, Roger won't mind taking the fall because he knows that his time will come also. This is called male bonding. Unlike women, there is no jealousy or one-upmanship, just moral support.

So, the next time you see a group of men all clustered together scratching their heads (among other things...), sneek in and take a big sniff !

You know, i think it's indeed instincts. That's probably why we give the gutteral sounds of confusion when stumped with man-work. :)

Al at 7P: Gutteral sound of confusion ! Wow, this is a new expression for me but I can see that through the language barriers we may have, just the sound of some words will hurt your innards... "gutteral"! But, I can see that you've caught the full meaning of my post. The thought processes between men and women very often go separate ways when confronted to similar situations.
